NM Transportation Dept. grapples with traffic death numbers

Driving is something we do every day. Because we do it so much, we might forget it can be dangerous -- even deadly.

Here's a scary new statistic: New Mexico has seen nearly 100 more traffic-related deaths this year than this time last year. And much of it is due to drunk driving.

New Mexico Department of Transportation's ENDWI Campaign was created to help reduce the number of drunk driving-related crashes and fatalities on our roadways.
Through our continuing efforts, we promote designated drivers, safe rides and responsible consumption with the ultimate goal of ending drunk driving in the state of New Mexico.
